a 1983 Shelter register obtained from the Chase Mountain Lean-to in Connecticut,
six and a half miles after leaving New York (Northbound). The Register begins
with an entry by Thru-hiker Tom Sitz, who left the register on June 21, 1983 and
ends with an entry on August 22, 1983. Included is a letter from the person who
returned the register to Tom dated August 27, 1983. To be legible,
some of the images are large in terms of internet usage, and may be a problem
for those using dialup connections. For others with faster connections, there
will probably be no problem. The names listed below are spelled as correctly as
could be decifered. If you find an error, please let me know. Question marks indicate
an unknown signer - either undecipherable signature or none at all. Front
